    This section offers a range of academic enrichment and tutoring services designed to support students facing health challenges, recovering at home, or catching up on coursework. For those managing illness or rehabilitation, these resources provide essential support and hope.

    • Duolingo Math: Recent studies found 93% of U.S. adults have experienced at least some math anxiety and half of high schoolers have very high math anxiety. Duolingo Math, relatively new to the Duolingo portfolio, offers two options for new learners: beginner math, which covers foundational topics, or intermediate math, which enhances everyday skills with more challenging exercises.
    • Khan Academy: An established non-profit offering comprehensive video lessons, practice exercises, and personalized dashboards for K-12 and some college courses.
    • Learn To Be: Students work with the same tutor until they meet their goals. Learn To Be empowers students to reach their full potential. Each student receives a dedicated tutor to master core math and reading skills.
    • Sprout Tutoring: Provides specialized, free K-12 tutoring for pediatric patients and their siblings. Please keep in mind that throughout the year, there may be weeks where there is less availability as the majority of our tutors are CUSM medical students who have finals examinations. We will update you ahead of time through this link so you and your child can prepare in advance. Subjects tutored include English, Math, Social Studies/History, and Science, taught in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
    • IXL: While NOT FREE, IXL is an award-winning program that accelerates your child's progress in Math, English language, Arts, Science, Social studies, and Spanish for students Pre-K–12. IXL brings learning to life on any device, also offering hundreds of interactive math and language arts games for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. The IXL mobile app is tailor-made for tablets and phones to create a fun, immersive experience in 100+ languages. IXL is designed to support a wide range of learning styles and needs, so every student can grow with confidence. NOTE: This is a subscription-based site with different payment plans.
